Hello, and thanks for taking a look at our website.

My name is Beth Thompson, and I teach 6th - 8th grade Reading and Language Arts at the Columbus Spanish Immersion Academy.  My homeroom class is now a 6th grade.  I created this website as part of an OSU class in June of 2004, and I have to thank my brother for getting it posted on the Web for you all to see.  Despite no fluency in the Spanish language, I am a wholehearted believer in language immersion education.  For more information about our program, please visit our school website by clicking on the link:

Another middle school teacher is Becky Ballón, who has the other 6th grade homeroom and teaches 6th grade Math, one section of 6th grade Language Arts, as well as some Spanish and Social Studies.

Niles Riddel has the 8th grade homeroom, and teaches 6th-8th grade Science, Spanish I & II, and 6th & 7th grade Spanish Literature. 

Mary Barber is our 7th & 8th grade Algebra & Pre-Algebra teacher, and she is with us half days, in the morning.
