And I see...
Nothing. There was nothing there; I paused to steady my breath. For some reason I expected a slimy, ugly, drooling beast to step out and gobble me whole but instead I found… nothing. I slowly climbed into the attic and saw empty boxes everywhere from the front of the attic. I walked passed them to the back. I paced my self all the way there. I was still scarred at what might happen but I still inched my way to the back. Steadily but slowly I made my way to the wall and knocked as hard as I could, and then…
CCRREEAAKK, a long creek came across the attic. I spun around so fast it felt like I could have broke my neck. Then a noise in the boxes I froze, something told me to go for the door and go back down the steps and hay I had already knocked on the wall so what’s the point in looking for trouble, but on the other hand I cant help my curiosity but once again didn’t curiosity kill the cat. Hmmm. After arguing the fact with myself for another 3 minutes I decided to check it out. I walked over to the boxes and slowly leaned down to move one of the boxes. And then I heard a noise behind me, and then next to me, and then in front of me. AAAHHH!!! A scream escaped my throat. I screamed so loud my death aunt could have heard me. I ran for the door but… SLAM, the door closed right in my face the whole attic was dark darker than …well dark.
I heard a deep laughing coming closer to me. “You dare awaken me,” the deep voice boomed. I dropped to the ground and balled into a fetal position preparing for the worst. Jess was right the attic is haunted. I heard the loud footsteps and the laughter coming closer. I started crying. The footsteps stopped in front of me. I closed my eyes ready for death. And what do I hear … laughing, but not deep, scary laughing but squeaky, high pitched laughing…
Jess she had come up here to scare me. She was on the ground laughing so hard two steady streaks of tears fell from her eyes. The little kids came from behind the boxes laughing also. They kept laughing until it made me sick. “Ok Jess ha-ha very funny, now that you’ve got your laugh can we please go” I sighed. Jess opened her mouth to laugh but it came out as a deep horrid laughter. She closed her mouth but the laughing continued. Jess looked horrified. “Sstoopp it Jess it’s not funny anymore.” I stated sounding scarred. “Itts not me” jess said” I wanna go I’m getting scarred” the little kids started crying. Jess opened the door and walked down the little kids went down after her and I went down last. I looked back at the attic and saw the ghost of my great-great grandfather smiling at me. I smiled back. Jess was right there really is a family tragedy, too bad she’ll never know it was more than a silly joke to her. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
